Tasks include, depending on the department's current goals: 

    • participation in TUI's public policy stakeholder dialogue on EU level and its coordination across TUI Group source markets;
    • contribution to existing formats for engagement with EU decision makers and development of new formats where needed;
    • contribution to existing formats for internal reporting and development of new formats where needed;
    • monitoring of EU legislative activities relevant for TUI;
    • internal and external stakeholder mapping;
    • preparation of briefings/presentations;
    • accompanying the Director and team members to relevant meetings with decision makers;
    • overseeing the digital footprint of the Corporate Office (i.e. social media, website, blogs etc.); 
    • support the Director and the team in their everyday activities;
    • support with the organisation of events including development of ideas, looking for speakers, compiling invitation lists, preparation content-wise, practical arrangements etc.;
    • review and make suggestions to further improve the overall functioning and set-up of the department.

Important skills:

    • Fluent English is an absolute requirement as it is the working language. German, French, Dutch and other EU languages are an asset
    • At least basic knowledge of the EU Environment and Institutions
    • Research skills
    • Planning and organisational skills
    • Open and communicative personality is an asset
    • Good knowledge of digital media is an asset
    • You are available for at least 3 to 6 months

The intern can expect to learn about the position of tourism and aviation in the international and European policy environment, will have the chance to engage with policy stakeholders and decision makers on EU and international level, and will learn about the political challenges and opportunities for the tourism and aviation sector 

The intern can expect to develop the following skills: research, communication, policy, EU institutional knowledge, international business environment, EU legislation, organising and drafting skills
